Wei Yao and Michelle Lam awarded Consensus Economics 2021 Forecast Accuracy Award for China
Wei Yao, Chief Economist and Head of Research for Asia Pacific, and Michelle Lam, Greater China Economist, have been awarded the 2021 Forecast Accuracy Award for China by Consensus Economics, the world’s leading economic survey organisation. This program recognises the achievements of a select group of expert country economic forecasters who have most accurately predicted the final outturns of GDP growth and Consumer Price Inflation in China between January 2020 to December 2021.
This award is a strong testimony of our ability to identify market dynamics and provide in-depth analysis on China, the world’s second-largest economy. This is a significant milestone for our economists, who won the award for the second time since 2014 and have continued to offer unique insight into the region and identify accurately the trends of key economic indicators despite the challenging market environment.
