Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking Appoints Tapan Vaishnav As Head of Advisory and Financing Group for Asia Pacific

Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking (SG CIB) announces the appointment of Tapan Vaishnav as Head of Advisory and Financing Group for Asia Pacific, effective 7th August, 2017.

SG CIB’s rating advisory and acquisition finance business integration within Advisory and Financing Group aims at further aligning its coverage origination, product expertise and execution offering in investment banking to deliver both advisory and event-driven transaction execution to its clients.

In his new role, Tapan is responsible for managing the acquisition finance and rating advisory team to further develop synergies with SG CIB’s other business divisions, particularly in debt capital markets.

Based in Hong Kong, Tapan reports regionally to Stephen Swift, Head of Global Finance for Asia Pacific, and functionally to Alexandre Huet, Global Head of Advisory and Financing Group who is based in Paris.

 

Biography:
Tapan Vaishnav joined Societe Generale in 2005 after having worked in investment banking in London and Paris. He has extensive experience in debt advisory and event-driven financing activities across a number of industries. Over the last 12 years, he has advised and financed medium to large scale corporate clients, most recently as Head of Strategic & Acquisition Finance at Societe Generale in London covering UK, Northern Europe, Germany and CEEMEA. Tapan has an MSc in Management from HEC, Paris.
